Troubleshooting Tips

Tip #1:   You will be adding one or more "Silk+ Premium Podcasts" to your podcast player; be careful not to confuse them with your public versions.

For example, the Silk+ Premium Podcast of Calm History is below on the left (the one on the right is the Public Podcast with ads and sample episodes).

Tip #2:  Use the instructions below to add one or more Silk+ Premium Podcasts to your podcast player.

When following any of the instructions below, do your best to follow each step exactly.

If a step doesn't work, let me know which step didn't work, and what happened instead.

If possible, also try to send me a screenshot of anything strange.

[Option 1] iPhone with Apple Podcasts App

1. Open this webpage on the iPhone that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives podcast

5. Tap the purple icon image for the Apple Podcasts app

6. Tap "Follow" on the pop-up and then you should see a pop-up with the word "Following" (and a symbol of a check mark).  

7. Tap "Library" (bottom of the Apple Podcasts app).

8. Tap "Shows" > Tap the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast (it should be one of the first podcasts if your podcasts are sorted alphabetically).

9. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

    [NOTE: If these steps don't work, try Option #10 or email Harris]

[Option 2] iPad with Apple Podcasts App

1. Open this webpage on the iPad that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. When in your Silk+ member account, tap "Podcasts" to see the list of Silk+ podcasts

5. Tap "Subscribe" next to the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives podcast

6. Tap the purple icon image for the Apple Podcasts app

7. Tap "Follow" on the pop-up and then you should see a pop-up with the word "Following" (and a symbol of a check mark).

8. At the top, tap the Square Symbol (it is on the left of the word, "Home")

9. Tap "Library" and then tap "Shows" 

10. You should now see the Silk+ podcast you selected in step 5!

11. Tap "Shows" > Tap the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast (it should be one of the first podcasts if your podcasts are sorted alphabetically).

12. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 3] iPhone with Spotify App

1. Open this webpage on the iPhone that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast

5. Tap the green icon image for Spotify

6. Tap "Follow" (upper-left in Spotify) 

7. Tap "Your Library" (bottom of the Spotify app)

8. Tap the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast, voila! (it should be one of the first podcasts if your podcasts are sorted alphabetically).

9. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 4] Android Device with Spotify

1. Open this webpage on your Android device that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast

5. Tap the green icon image for Spotify

6. Tap "Follow" (upper-left in Spotify) 

7. Tap "Your Library" (bottom of the Spotify app)

8. Scroll past the public Calm History podcast until you see the Silk+ Calm History podcast (see my image below - a red arrow is pointing to it)

9. Tap the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast, voila!

10. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 5] iPhone with Overcast App

1. Open this webpage on the iPhone that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast.

5. Tap the ORANGE icon image for the Overcast app

6. Tap "Follow" on the pop-up. 

7. Wait 1-5 seconds.

8. Voila!  It should be right on your screen now!

9. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 6] iPhone with Downcast app

1. Open this webpage on the iPhone that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast.

5. Tap the Red icon image for the Downcast app

6. Downcast will open with the notice, "Subscribing..."

7. The Silk+ podcast will auto-load into the app

8. Tap "Podcasts" on the lower left bottom.

9. Voila!  The Silk+ podcast should be in that list!

10. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 7] Android Device with Pocket Casts App

1. Open this webpage on the Android device that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast.

5. Tap the Red icon image for the Pocket Casts app

6. The Silk+ podcast will auto-load into the app

7. Tap "Follow"

8. Voila!  You should now see all of the episodes!

9. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 8] Android Device with Podcast Addict (paste RSS, no iOS version)

1. Open this webpage on the Android device that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives Podcast

5. Look under the colorful array of podcast app icons to see that it says, "Or, paste this link into your podcast player"

6. Copy the RSS url under that statement (by tapping the symbol on the right that is a clipboard with an arrow in it).

7. Open the Podcast Addict app

8. Tap "+" on the main screen, then tap "RSS feed"

9. Paste in the RSS url

10. You may have to then check the "Authentication" checkbox and enter your login/password for Podcast Addict.

11. The Silk+ podcast should now be in Podcast Addict

12. Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.

[Option 9] Apple Device with "Podcast App" by Evolve-Global (paste rss)

NOTE: App has Blue Mic symbol on it.

NOTE: App users must have Premium Sub to the app to add private podcasts

1. Open this webpage on the Apple device that you use to listen to podcasts.

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives podcast

5. Look under the colorful array of podcast app icons for the words, "Or, paste this link into your podcast player"

6. Tap on the symbol of the clipboard with an arrow in it to copy the https URL (this is the rss URL).

7. Open your app named, "Podcast App"

8. Tap "My Podcasts" at the bottom of the screen

9. Tap the "+" symbol near the top of the screen

10. Tap "Add Private Podcasts"

11. Tap "Allow Paste" if it pops up

12. Tap "Add URL"

13. Tap "Go to show" > Shazam!  All done!

If the image/art for a Silk+ podcast is missing, then just swipe-close and re-open the "Podcast App".

To add another Silk+ podcast, repeat the above steps but select a different podcast in Step 4.

[Option 10] iPhone with Apple Podcasts App (paste rss)

1. Open this webpage on your iPhone

2. Tap this link: https://silk.memberful.com/account/feeds

3. Log in with your email and password (or use the send email link option)

4. Tap "Subscribe" next to the A-Silk+ Calm History-Bonus & Archives podcast

5. Look under the colorful array of podcast app icons for the words, "Or, paste this link into your podcast player"

6. Tap on the symbol of the clipboard with an arrow in it to copy the https URL (this is the rss URL).

7. Open your Apple Podcasts App.

8. Tap "Library" > Tap the 3 dots at the top right ("...")

9. Tap "Follow a Show by URL..."

10. Tap inside the box and paste in the rss URL you just copied

11. Tap "Follow"

12. Tap "Library" (bottom of the Apple Podcasts app).

13. Tap "Shows"

14.  The Silk+ podcast should be one of the first ones if your podcasts are sorted alphabetically - is it there and acting normal?

15. FYI: Repeat the steps above to add any other Silk+ Premium Podcast.
